Community Organizations

A variety of Canton Community Organizations and Non-Profit Groups are on display in 2007. Many offer information about their organization along with activities for children, displays and much more.

Trinity Nursery School (Booth 601) – Free tattoo’s to children. Hand out on Nursery School
Community of Concern/Canton Substance Abuse Council (Booth 602) – Informational brochures about drug & alcohol, how to talk to your teens, smoking cessation info.
Canton Newcomers Club (Booth 603) – Learn all about what the Newcomers Club offers.
Connecticut Golden Retriever Rescue (Booth 604) – Representatives will be at booth to esxplain both adoption and surrender process.
Canton Historical Society (Booth 605) – Books on Cantons history and other subjects. Photo prints, coffee mugs, magnets, post cards and note paper for sale.
Friends of the Canton Public Library (Booth 607) – Informational display.
Canton Raptor Care (Booth 608) – Informational display.
Canton Advocates for Responsible Expansion, Inc. (Booth 609) – Learn about current and future planning and development projects & issues and how to become a part of the process.
Farmington River Watershed Association (Booth 610) – Learn about the river and the activities of the FRWA.
Canton Land Conservation Trust (Booth 611) – Brochures and information about the land trust, its properties and the benefits of the land trust.
Roaring Brook Nature Center (Booth 612) – Live animal (reptile) demonstrations. Informational materials.
Canton Democratic Town Committee (Booth 701) – Meet and learn about the candidates for the November election. Expected guests: Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, Sec. Of State Susan Bysciewicz; State Treasurer Nancy Wyman, George Jepsen.
Village Lodge No. 29 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons (Booth 702) – Information about Free masonry and the Connecticut Freemasons. Child Identification Program.
Canton Police Department (Booth 703) – Meet the officers, ask questions, learn more about the police department. Informational brochures.
Canton Fire/EMS Department (Booth 704) – Meet the volunteers of the fire/EMS department. Learn about becoming a member.
Farmington Valley Visiting Nurse Association (Booth 705) – Informational display. Raffle for a Healthy Cookbook.
Canton Food Bank (Booth 706) – Learn about the food bank.
FOCUS on Canton (Booth 707) – Informational display about the organizations programs that include Neighbor Helping Neighbor, Thanksgiving Dinner, Crop Walk, etc.
Trinity Episcopal Church (Booth 708) – Informational display.
Canton Republican Town Committee (Booth 709) – Informational display about candidates for the fall election.
Canton Little League (Booth 710) – Learn all about little league
Friends of Canton Football, Inc. (Booth 711) – 2007 marks the year football is back as a varsity sport at Canton High School. Come see what all the excitement is about and how you can be a part of it.
