Schedule of Events for 2010

(All activities at the Main Site on Canton Springs Road unless otherwise indicated.
Free shuttle buses (one will be handicapped accessible) will run continuously
throughout the day from the Main Site to Collinsville)

7:00 am - 10:00 am Canton Lions Club Pancake Breakfast
Canton Volunteer Fire Department Firehouse on Canton Springs Road.
Come enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast with eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee or tea.

10:00 am - 4:00 pm
“A Taste of Canton”
Featuring business and community organizations’ display booths with many FREE giveaways, a wide range of hands-on children’s’ activities, live entertainment, walking tours, sporting activities and much more.

11:00 am – 4 pm
“Food Court”
Local restaurant specialty items in the “Food Court Tent”. Soda, Beer and Wine available too.
No alcohol may be taken off the field. Sponsored and staffed by Margaritas Family Mexican
Restaurant.

Children’s Activities
Enjoy the many children’s activities including children’s music in the Entertainment Tent; get an
incredible balloon animal; enjoy riding on one of the Inflatibles in the Children’s area.

Token Booths
There are two token booths on the field, one near the Welcome Tent and one in the back near the Children’s Inflatibles. Tokens are $1.00 each and must be purchased for food, drink and inflatable rides.

Visit the Welcome Tent next to the Town Hall Parking Lot. Information about Sam Collins Day, the exhibitors, the events and schedules; info about local groups.

Downtown Collinsville Activities
Hike the Farmington River Trail - Collinsville to Burlington (Collinsville) Hike or bike along the banks of the Farmington River. Trail starts in Collinsville opposite the Welcome Tent. Enjoy the view from the wooden bridge that goes through the Collins Company and over the Farmington River.

Canton Historical Museum Tours - Enjoy a look at the past through the various Victorian exhibits, Collins Company memorabilia and much more in Collinsville. Free admission. Stroll around downtown Collinsville and discover the intact mill town village with lovely Victorian
homes and the Collins Company buildings.

Rent a canoe or kayak at the Collinsville Canoe & Kayak store and explore the Farmington River.

Visit the many shops and restaurants located on Main Street, Front Street, River Road and Bridge Street.

OPEN HOUSE at Collinsville’s new premier special event facility
at 41 BRIDGE STREET
with tours, refreshments, and an opportunity to ask questions about the renovations, the upcoming functions, and the future of musical events and special events that are planned. Look for the double green doors on the side of the building (former site of Miner Lumber Company and the historic Blair Grist Mill overlooking the Farmington River in Collinsville)

10 am – 4 pm
OPEN HOUSE at the Canton Historical Museum.

Hot dogs and soda available for purchase outside the
museum. Two museum booths will be available at the main field in Canton with special deals and the opportunity to join and support the Building Fund for renovations.

Take the Shuttle Bus from the Main Site
